We could not fully consult the manufacturer's support page for this model; the steps are general and may differ in details.
Most likely causes
Wrong Wi‑Fi password entered
- Check the Wi‑Fi password on your phone or router.
- Re-enter the password in the Eufy app exactly, watching capitalization.
- Test the password by connecting another device to the network first.
Phone and camera on different Wi‑Fi bands (2.4 GHz vs 5 GHz)
- Check your router to confirm a 2.4 GHz network is available.
- Switch your phone to the 2.4 GHz network or temporarily disable 5 GHz on the router.
- Retry connection in the app while your phone is on 2.4 GHz.
Router blocking new devices or MAC filtering enabled
- Look in your router settings and disable MAC filtering or allow new devices.
- Alternatively enable a guest network and try connecting the camera to that guest network.
Weak Wi‑Fi signal where the camera is
- Move the camera and phone closer to the router during setup.
- Check signal strength in the app if available.
- Consider a Wi‑Fi extender or choose a location nearer the router.
Factory reset
Warning: a factory reset deletes all settings and pairings; you will need to add the camera again in the Eufy Security app.
- Power on the camera and ensure it has sufficient battery or is connected to power.
- Find the reset button on the camera; it is usually a small hole or button on the back or bottom.
- Insert a paperclip or thin tool into the hole and hold the button for 10–15 seconds.
- Release when you hear a sound or see lights blink to indicate the reset started.
- Open the Eufy app, remove the old device entry if needed, and add the camera again via 'Add Device'.
